Spring is here! We’ve been busy completing a lot of projects at Tatum Village. The Spring plantings are done. I will be doing a walk through to make sure everything is thriving. The new Hybrid Palo Verde’s are a nice addition to Tatum Village. We planted a few Acacia Anueras which is one of my favorite trees along with the Ironwood. The Acacia Anuera is a smaller tree, low water use and very little leaf droppings. Pre-emergent will be sprayed in the next few weeks. You will see a yellow tint on the granite areas. This treatment will keep weeds from growing in the common areas. Turf areas will be getting less water this year due to the increase in rates. We will do our best to keep it as green as possible. This year I will continue to use a selective herbicide to kill the “nut grass” in some of the turf areas. Enjoy the outdoors now. The hot summer will be here soon. Please continue to report any landscape maintenance that may be needed on your lot by calling Planned Development Services or sending in your Landscape Maintenance Request Forms.
